The first of its kind tussle for state supremacy will open with a match-up between the Des Moines Buccaneers and Sioux City Musketeers on Saturday, September 19 at 3:00PM. The RoughRiders and arch rival Waterloo Black Hawks will face off in the night cap at 7:00PM.
The winners of the first day’s games will meet in the following day’s championship game, while day one’s defeated teams will contest the consolation game. Regardless of whether they win or lose Saturday night, the Riders will play in the second of the two games slated for September 20. The Riders will clash with either Des Moines or Sioux City at 5:00PM. Sunday’s action will begin at 1:00PM when the Black Hawks collide with either the Bucs or the Muskies.
Tickets to the Battle go on sale Tuesday, September 8 at the RoughRiders ticket office at the Stable and online at www.roughridershockey.com. Tickets cover admission to two games per day for just $15 for adults and for only $10 for children 12 and under. Battle of Iowa tickets are included in season ticket holders’ packages.
